Introduces New Show

Given the idea by Charlie Hodge when RJ was recording in Nashville with the former members of the ELVIS PRESLEY band and the Jordanaires in 1987, RJ has finally put the show on the road.

RJ copyrighted the name "The Former Members of the Elvis Presley Band" in 1989 and was never ready to put the show together, but he never forgot the idea Charlie told him he had pitched to Elvis.

Charlie said Elvis was getting heavy with all the weight he was putting on and asked Charlie what he should do as he got older to please his fans. While they were singing spirituals with the Stamps, Charlie suggested to Elvis to learn enough piano, sit on stage at a Baby Grand, and sing his greatest hits and some spirituals with the band and back-up singers.

He said Elvis liked the idea, but due to his untimely death the idea for the show hit the skids until Charlie told RJ Coltin/Ronnie Sando about it. Due to his son's accident RJ couldn't concentrate on the show after his return to the stage. Searching for the right players to accompany him on stage took two years.

At a club in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, Shenanigans, on August 15th, 2009 the show "ELVIS NOW 2009" was born to a screaming, dancing-in-the-aisles, sold-out crowd. It took three encores for the show to end. RJ Coltin/Ronnie Sando and the new former members of the Elvis Presley band, to which RJ was a member at the date of copyright, rocked the place with RJ on piano belting out Elvis's greatest hits. They have been playing to sold-out crowds ever since. For more information and booking info, go to: www.ronniesando.moonfruit.com
